About
Cancena 200mg Injection contains the active ingredient Mesna, a cytoprotective agent that belongs to the class of hemorrhagic cystitis inhibitors. It helps reduce the risk of hemorrhagic cystitis—a condition characterized by bladder inflammation and potentially severe bleeding—in patients receiving ifosfamide, a chemotherapy drug. This medication protects against some of the harmful side effects caused by certain chemotherapy treatments.
Do not use this injection if you are allergic to Cancena 200mg Injection or any of its ingredients. The medicine may cause serious allergic or skin reactions. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as fever, swelling of the face, lips, mouth, or tongue, difficulty breathing or wheezing, itching, burning, skin rash or hives, redness, or swelling after administration.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have severe liver or bladder conditions. Female patients should use effective contraception while undergoing treatment with Cancena 200mg Injection in combination with other anticancer drugs and for six months after the final dose. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, constipation, low platelet and white blood cell counts, fatigue, fever, abdominal pain, headache, hair loss, and trouble sleeping.
