About
Dasatrue 50mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Dasatinib and is prescribed for adults and children over one year old with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). It is used to treat newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) CML in the chronic phase, as well as Ph+ Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in patients who are resistant to other treatments. CML is a type of blood cancer characterized by the overproduction of white blood cells caused by an abnormal Philadelphia chromosome. ALL is the most common type of blood cancer in children, where lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) multiply rapidly and live longer than normal.
Common side effects of Dasatrue 50mg may include diarrhea, headache, cough, rash, nausea, fatigue, vomiting, muscle pain, weakness, loss of appetite, and fluctuations in blood pressure. Contact your doctor if any of these symptoms persist or cause discomfort.
Before beginning treatment, inform your doctor if you are allergic to Dasatinib or any of its components. Also, disclose if you have any history of liver or heart disease, breathing problems, chest pain, persistent cough, hepatitis B infection, or bleeding disorders. This medication may significantly reduce platelets, white blood cells (WBC), or red blood cells (RBC), so regular blood tests are essential during the treatment. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, antacids, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Dasatrue 70mg is not recommended for children under one year of age.
