About
Dyronib 50mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Dasatinib and is prescribed for adults and children over one year of age to treat Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). It is specifically used for patients newly diagnosed with Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) CML in the chronic phase, as well as those with Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) who have not responded to other treatments. CML is a form of blood cancer characterized by the overproduction of white blood cells due to an abnormal Philadelphia chromosome. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), the most common type of blood cancer in children, involves the rapid and uncontrolled growth of lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell.
Common side effects associated with Dyronib 50mg may include diarrhea, headache, cough, rash, nausea, fatigue, vomiting, muscle pain, weakness, loss of appetite, and fluctuations in blood pressure. If these side effects persist or cause discomfort, inform your doctor.
Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you are allergic to Dasatinib or any of its components. You should also inform your physician if you have a history of liver or heart conditions, breathing problems, chest pain, cough, hepatitis B infection, or any bleeding disorders. This medication may lead to a significant reduction in platelets, white blood cells (WBCs), or red blood cells (RBCs), so regular blood tests are essential to monitor your health during treatment.
Let your healthcare provider know about all medications you are taking, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, antacids, and herbal supplements. Dyronib 50mg is not recommended for children under one year of age.
