About

DPVIL M 1000 combines vildagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, and metformin, a biguanide, for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Vildagliptin enhances the body's natural ability to control blood glucose by increasing the levels of active incretin hormones, which stimulate insulin release and suppress glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner.
