About

GLZ TOTAL TAB contains Gliclazide, an oral hypoglycemic agent belonging to the sulfonylurea class, primarily used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. This is achieved by binding to specific receptors on the beta-cell membrane, leading to the closure of ATP-sensitive potassium channels. This closure causes depolarization of the beta-cell membrane, triggering an influx of calcium ions, which in turn stimulates the exocytosis of insulin granules.
