About
DYNAGLIPT TAB is an oral antidiabetic medication belonging to the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor class. It works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones, such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), which are naturally released by the intestine in response to food. These hormones stimulate the pancreas to release insulin when blood glucose levels are high and suppress the secretion of glucagon, a hormone that raises blood sugar. By enhancing the body's natural ability to control blood glucose, DYNAGLIPT TAB helps to improve glycemic control in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise, either alone or in combination with other antidiabetic agents, to achieve target blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications.
