About

Encicarb 750mg Injection contains ferric carboxymaltose as its active ingredient and belongs to a class of medicines known as iron replacement products. It is used to treat iron deficiency anemia (a condition where red blood cell count is reduced due to low iron levels) in adults and pediatric patients who are unable to tolerate oral iron supplements or when oral iron is ineffective. It is also prescribed for adults with chronic kidney disease not on dialysis who have iron deficiency anemia. This medicine is not recommended for children under one year of age.

You should not receive Encicarb 750mg Injection if you are allergic to ferric carboxymaltose or any of its components. It is also contraindicated in individuals with anemia not caused by iron deficiency, iron overload, or conditions that prevent the proper use of iron. Inform your doctor if you have rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, ongoing infections, liver problems, or low blood phosphate levels. Improper administration of this injection can cause irritation and long-lasting discoloration at the injection site.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Common side effects may include nausea, high blood pressure, flushing, injection site reactions, skin reactions, vomiting, and dizziness. Let your physician know if you’ve had serious allergic reactions to other injectable iron products in the past.
