About

Encicarb 1K Injection contains ferric carboxymaltose as its active ingredient and belongs to a class of medications known as iron replacement products. It is used to treat iron deficiency anemia—a condition characterized by a low red blood cell count due to insufficient iron levels—in adults and pediatric patients who cannot tolerate oral iron supplements or when such supplements are ineffective. It is also indicated for treating iron deficiency anemia in adults with chronic kidney disease who are not undergoing dialysis. This medication is not recommended for use in children under one year of age.

Do not use Encicarb 1K Injection if you are allergic to ferric carboxymaltose or any of its components. It should also not be used if you have anemia not related to iron deficiency, iron overload (excess iron in the body), or conditions that impair iron utilization. Inform your doctor if you have conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, infections, liver disease, or low phosphate levels in your blood. Improper administration of this injection may lead to irritation and persistent discoloration at the injection site.

Before starting treatment, let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Common side effects of Encicarb 1K Injection include nausea, high blood pressure, flushing, skin reactions, injection site discomfort, vomiting, and dizziness. Inform your physician if you have previously experienced severe allergic reactions to other injectable iron therapies.
