About

Erlotero 100mg Tablet is used to treat non-small cell lung cancer and pancreatic cancer.

It should be taken on an empty stomach—either one hour before or two hours after a meal. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and continue the medication for as long as prescribed. Treatment duration depends on your condition and how you respond to therapy. Do not stop taking it without your doctor’s advice, and avoid taking more than the recommended dose, as it can lead to serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months to notice improvements.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, rash, and weight loss. The medicine may cause severe diarrhea, so ensure you stay hydrated and consult your doctor if it becomes troublesome. Erlotero can also make your skin more sensitive to sunlight—use sunscreen or wear protective clothing when outdoors. Inform your doctor if you experience mouth ulcers, vision changes, or difficulty breathing. Routine liver function tests may be advised during the course of treatment.

Let your healthcare provider know about all other medicines you’re taking, as drug interactions are possible. Erlotero is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use effective birth control during treatment and for some time afterward, as advised by your doctor. Smoking is discouraged, as it can reduce the medicine’s effectiveness. If you're taking antacids or other medications, keep a minimum 2-hour gap after taking Erlotero to avoid interactions.
