About

Erlotirel 100mg Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach—either at least one hour before or two hours after a meal. Continue taking it for as long as your doctor recommends. The duration of treatment depends on your individual condition and how you respond to the medication. It is important to take it exactly as prescribed. Taking too much or using it incorrectly can lead to serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months before you notice any improvement, but do not stop taking the medicine without your doctor’s approval.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, skin rash, and weight loss. The medication may also cause severe diarrhea—drink plenty of fluids and consult your doctor if it becomes troublesome. Erlotirel can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, so it’s advisable to wear protective clothing and apply sunscreen when going outside. If you experience mouth ulcers, vision changes, or difficulty breathing, inform your doctor immediately. Regular liver function tests may be required during the course of treatment.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medications you are currently taking, as Erlotirel can interact with other drugs. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Effective contraception must be used by both men and women during treatment to prevent pregnancy. Smoking is discouraged during therapy, as it can reduce the effectiveness of the medication. If you need to take an antacid or any other medication, ensure there is at least a 2-hour gap after taking Erlotirel.
