About

Everotas 0.5mg Tablet is an antineoplastic medication from the class of mTOR kinase inhibitors, containing the active ingredient everolimus. It is used to treat several types of cancers, including advanced breast cancer, renal cell carcinoma, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (a type of tumor located in the brain's ventricles). Maintaining good oral hygiene and attending regular dental check-ups is important during treatment, as this medicine may cause mouth sores or ulcers. In the case of subependymal giant cell astrocytoma, Everotas is often used in combination with cyclophosphamide, an alkylating agent.

Before starting Everotas 0.5mg, it's important to understand that the treatment can increase your risk of bacterial or viral infections. If you have a history of Hepatitis B, this medicine may increase the risk of reactivation. Inform your healthcare provider immediately if you experience symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, yellowing of the skin, joint pain, or swelling during treatment. Because this medication may increase your sensitivity to sunlight and your risk of developing certain cancers, it is recommended to limit sun exposure by wearing protective clothing and using sunscreen regularly. Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as it may interfere with its effectiveness. Lanolimus 0.5mg Tablet is a substitute for Everotas 0.5mg Tablet.

This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, or a worsening cough. Throughout the course of treatment, your doctor will likely monitor your white blood cell and platelet counts, blood sugar levels, electrolytes, and kidney function to help prevent serious complications, as Everotas has the potential to cause kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you have any existing liver conditions, heart failure, high cholesterol levels, or high blood pressure before beginning this medication. Additionally, avoid receiving live vaccines and stay away from individuals who have recently been vaccinated with live vaccines.
