About

Febutaz 80mg Tablet contains Febuxostat, a potent xanthine oxidase inhibitor used for the long-term management of chronic gout and hyperuricemia. Gout is a painful inflammatory arthritis caused by the deposition of uric acid crystals in the joints, which occurs when there are excessively high levels of uric acid in the blood (hyperuricemia). Febuxostat works by blocking the enzyme xanthine oxidase, which is responsible for the production of uric acid in the body. By inhibiting this enzyme, Febuxostat effectively lowers serum uric acid levels, thereby preventing the formation of new uric acid crystals and promoting the dissolution of existing crystals and tophi (uric acid deposits).

This medication is particularly beneficial for patients who cannot tolerate allopurinol, another common gout medication, or for whom allopurinol is not effective enough. Regular and consistent use of Febutaz 80mg Tablet helps to reduce the frequency and severity of gout flares, improve joint function, and prevent long-term joint damage. It is crucial to continue treatment even during symptom-free periods to maintain optimal uric acid levels and prevent recurrence.
