About

GALVUS 50 contains vildagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Vildagliptin works by enhancing the body's natural ability to control blood glucose levels. It achieves this by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which is responsible for the rapid degradation of incretin hormones, glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP).
