About

Hepcinat Plus, a fixed-dose combination of sofosbuvir and ledipasvir, is a highly effective direct-acting antiviral (DAA) medication for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Sofosbuvir is an NS5B polymerase inhibitor, and ledipasvir is an NS5A inhibitor. This combination targets two different viral proteins, leading to potent inhibition of HCV replication and high sustained virologic response rates across various genotypes, particularly genotypes 1, 4, 5, and 6. It is indicated for patients with or without cirrhosis, and in some cases, with ribavirin for decompensated cirrhosis, providing a comprehensive and curative treatment option. The typical treatment duration is 8 or 12 weeks, offering a streamlined and highly successful approach to HCV eradication.

  • Chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
