About

ITRAGREAT 200 contains Itraconazole, a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent. Itraconazole works by inhibiting the fungal cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase, which is essential for the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of the fungal cell membrane. This inhibition leads to a disruption in fungal cell membrane integrity and function, ultimately resulting in the death of the fungal organism. ITRAGREAT 200 is effective against a wide range of fungal pathogens, including dermatophytes, yeasts, and various dimorphic fungi. It is commonly used for systemic fungal infections, including candidiasis, aspergillosis, histoplasmosis, and blastomycosis, as well as for superficial infections like onychomycosis, providing a potent solution for both localized and disseminated fungal diseases.

Uses

  • Treatment of systemic fungal infections (e.g., aspergillosis, candidiasis).
  • Management of onychomycosis (fungal nail infection).
  • Eradication of histoplasmosis and blastomycosis.
