Laviat 25mg Capsule is classified as an immunomodulatory agent and contains the active ingredient Lenalidomide. It is prescribed for adults to treat multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer where plasma cells in the bone marrow multiply uncontrollably. Although this cancer cannot be cured, its symptoms can be managed. Myelodysplastic syndrome refers to a group of blood and bone marrow disorders where blood cells are abnormal and do not function properly. Mantle cell lymphoma is a rarer cancer affecting the lymph nodes, while follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing cancer that targets B cells.
Common side effects of Laviat 25mg Capsule include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle cramps, fatigue, fever, cough, headache, back pain, breathlessness, rashes, as well as thyroid and skin issues.
