About

Lenalid 5mg Capsule is part of a group of medications known as immunomodulatory agents and contains the active ingredient Lenalidomide. It is prescribed for adults to treat multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is a cancer involving the uncontrolled growth of plasma cells in the bone marrow. Although this condition cannot be cured, its symptoms can be managed. Myelodysplastic syndrome refers to a group of disorders affecting the blood and bone marrow, leading to abnormal and dysfunctional blood cells. Mantle cell lymphoma is a relatively rare cancer that impacts the lymph nodes, while follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing cancer that targets B cells.

Common side effects associated with Lenalid 5mg Capsule may include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle cramps, fatigue, fever, cough, headache, back pain, breathlessness, rashes, as well as thyroid and skin issues. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects are persistent or bothersome.

Before starting treatment, let your doctor know if you are allergic to Lenalid 5mg Capsule or any of its ingredients. It is also important to inform your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, heart attack, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or if you smoke. Additionally, notify your physician if you have viral infections such as hepatitis B, varicella zoster, or HIV. Your healthcare provider will perform regular blood tests before and during treatment, as the medication may reduce blood cell counts.
