About
Relidomide 10mg Capsule is an immunomodulatory agent containing the active ingredient Lenalidomide. It is prescribed for adults to treat conditions such as multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), and follicular lymphoma.
Multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer involving abnormal growth of plasma cells in the bone marrow. While it is not curable, treatment can help manage symptoms. Myelodysplastic syndrome includes a group of disorders where blood and bone marrow cells become abnormal and function poorly. Mantle cell lymphoma is a rare cancer affecting the lymph nodes, while follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing B-cell cancer.
Common side effects of Relidomide 10mg may include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle cramps, fatigue, fever, cough, headache, back pain, shortness of breath, skin rashes, thyroid issues, and other skin-related problems. You should notify your doctor if any of these symptoms persist or worsen.
Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you are allergic to Lenalidomide or any of the ingredients in this medication. Also, share your medical history, especially if you have had blood clots, a heart attack, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or if you smoke. Tell your doctor if you have a history of viral infections such as hepatitis B, varicella zoster, or HIV.
Regular blood tests will be conducted before and during treatment to monitor blood cell counts, as the medication may lead to a reduction in blood cells. Relidomide 10mg Capsule is not recommended for children under 18 years of age.
