Letero 2.5mg Tablet

Letero 2.5mg Tablet is an anti-cancer medicine that belongs to the class of aromatase inhibitors. It is prescribed as supportive therapy after primary treatment or as first-line therapy for postmenopausal women with early or advanced hormone receptor–positive breast cancer. Since high estrogen levels can stimulate breast cancer growth, this medicine works by blocking the enzyme aromatase, which is responsible for estrogen production. By lowering estrogen levels, Letero 2.5mg helps slow down or stop the growth and spread of cancer to other parts of the body.

Inform your doctor if you have not yet reached menopause, as this medicine is not effective in premenopausal women. Because it reduces female reproductive hormone levels, it is not recommended for menstruating women due to potential fertility issues. Monitoring of cholesterol levels is advised, as this medicine may increase cholesterol. It may also reduce bone mineral density, so regular bone health check-ups should be considered. Additionally, effective contraception should be used during treatment and for at least 3 weeks after the last dose, as Letero 2.5mg can cause harm if pregnancy occurs during therapy.
