About

PAC MED 260mg Injection contains Paclitaxel, a microtubule-stabilizing agent widely utilized in oncology for its potent antineoplastic effects. It functions by binding to tubulin, promoting the assembly of microtubules, and preventing their depolymerization. This action disrupts the dynamic equilibrium of the microtubule system, which is crucial for vital cellular functions such as mitosis and interphase transport. Consequently, cancer cells are arrested in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle, leading to programmed cell death (apoptosis). The 260mg dose is typically administered as part of a standard three-weekly chemotherapy cycle for various advanced solid tumors. Premedication is usually required to mitigate the risk of hypersensitivity reactions, which can be severe.

  • Advanced ovarian cancer
