PANTOCID DSR is a combination medication comprising Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and Domperidone, a prokinetic agent. Pantoprazole works by irreversibly binding to the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system (the proton pump) in the gastric parietal cells, thereby inhibiting the final step in gastric acid secretion. This leads to a significant and prolonged reduction in stomach acid production. Domperidone, on the other hand, acts as a dopamine antagonist, primarily at the D2 receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone and the gastrointestinal tract. Directions For Use
