Prixain D 75/20 is a combination medication containing Diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Diclofenac works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins, which are mediators of pain, inflammation, and fever. Esomeprazole reduces gastric acid secretion by irreversibly binding to and inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase pump in gastric parietal cells.
