About

ROSAVE GOLD 10 is a combination medication typically containing Rosuvastatin (a statin), Aspirin (an antiplatelet agent), and Clopidogrel (another antiplatelet agent). Rosuvastatin works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol synthesis and lowering LDL-C levels. Aspirin irreversibly inhibits COX-1, preventing thromboxane A2 formation and platelet aggregation. Clopidogrel selectively inhibits ADP binding to its receptor on platelets, further preventing platelet activation and aggregation. This triple therapy is prescribed for patients at high risk of cardiovascular events, particularly after acute coronary syndromes or stent placement, to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other thrombotic events by managing lipid levels and preventing blood clot formation. The "10" indicates a lower dose of Rosuvastatin compared to ROSAVE GOLD 20.
