About

Synstim Combi Pack Injection is an anticancer medication used to treat ovarian cancer and multiple myeloma, a type of bone marrow cancer. It may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

This injection is administered intravenously by a healthcare professional—do not self-administer at home. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and frequency based on your condition, which may be adjusted over time. It might take several weeks or months before you notice any benefits, so continue treatment unless your doctor advises otherwise. Since this medicine increases sensitivity to sunlight, it’s important to wear protective clothing or apply sunscreen when outdoors.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, anemia (low red blood cell count), and hair loss. The medicine may also lower your blood cell counts, increasing your risk of infections. Regular blood tests will be necessary to monitor your blood cells, as well as your kidney, liver, and heart function during treatment. Notify your doctor promptly if you experience signs of infection such as fever, chills, or body aches, or if you notice unusual bruising, bleeding gums, or blood in your urine or stool.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have any bleeding disorders, liver or kidney problems, or if you are taking medications for infections. Many drugs can interact with this treatment, so be sure to provide a complete list of your current medications. This injection is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Both males and females should use effective contraception during treatment to prevent pregnancy.
