About

TACKEL 90 TAB contains Etoricoxib, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, belonging to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Etoricoxib works by selectively blocking the COX-2 enzyme, which is primarily responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain, inflammation, and fever. By inhibiting COX-2, it reduces inflammation and pain with a potentially lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to non-selective NSAIDs, which also inhibit COX-1. It is used for the symptomatic relief of various inflammatory and painful conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis.
