About

Tamtero 20mg Tablet is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) widely used in the treatment and prevention of estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer. It acts as an anti-estrogen in breast tissue by competitively binding to estrogen receptors, thereby blocking the growth-promoting effects of estrogen on cancer cells. In other tissues, such as bone and uterus, it may exhibit estrogenic effects. This dual action makes it a valuable therapeutic agent for both pre- and post-menopausal women with ER+ breast cancer, helping to reduce recurrence and improve survival outcomes. It is taken orally, offering convenience for long-term therapy.

Uses

  • Adjuvant treatment of ER+ breast cancer
  • Treatment of metastatic ER+ breast cancer
  • Reduction in incidence of invasive breast cancer in high-risk women
  • Reduction in incidence of contralateral breast cancer
