About
Unifolin 15mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Leucovorin Calcium, a compound chemically related to folic acid. Methotrexate, a medication used to treat cancer and other conditions, can reduce folic acid levels in the body. Unifolin is used to counteract the effects of methotrexate and help maintain normal folic acid levels, a process known as leucovorin rescue. Additionally, it is used to treat megaloblastic anemia caused by folic acid deficiency.
Do not take Unifolin 15mg Tablet if you are allergic to Leucovorin Calcium or any other ingredients in the medicine, or if you have certain types of anemia (such as pernicious anemia or megaloblastic anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency). Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have anemia, or kidney, heart, or liver problems. Also, notify your physician immediately if you experience wheezing, difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching or hives, or swelling of the lips, face, or tongue.
