About
URIMAX 0.2mg Capsule contains Tamsulosin, an alpha-1A adrenergic receptor antagonist, specifically formulated to manage the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It works by selectively blocking alpha-1A receptors located in the smooth muscles of the prostate gland and bladder neck. This action leads to the relaxation of these muscles, which in turn reduces the obstruction of urine flow.
Consequently, urinary symptoms such as hesitancy, weak stream, urgency, and frequent urination (including at night) are significantly improved. Tamsulosin provides symptomatic relief without affecting the size of the prostate gland, thereby enhancing the quality of life for men with BPH.
