About

Xtide 40mg Capsule is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that effectively reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It works by irreversibly binding to the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system, also known as the proton pump, located in the parietal cells of the stomach lining. This action blocks the final step in acid secretion, leading to a significant and prolonged reduction in gastric acid production.

Xtide is widely used for the treatment of various acid-related disorders, providing relief from symptoms and promoting healing of the esophageal and gastric mucosa. Its sustained acid suppression makes it a cornerstone in managing conditions like GERD, peptic ulcers, and other hypersecretory states, improving patient comfort and preventing complications.

Uses

  • Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
  • Healing of erosive esophagitis.
  • Management of peptic ulcers (gastric and duodenal).
  • Eradication of Helicobacter pylori (in combination therapy).
