About

Azel 160mg Tablet contains Enzalutamide as its active ingredient. It is an antineoplastic medication classified as an androgen receptor inhibitor, used in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer, particularly in patients who no longer respond to surgical or hormonal therapies.

This medication should not be taken if you are allergic to any of its components. During treatment, your doctor may regularly monitor Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) levels through blood tests. PSA is a protein produced by the prostate, and elevated levels may indicate prostate cancer. Tracking PSA helps assess disease progression and treatment effectiveness. Additional tests, such as liver function tests and a complete blood count (CBC), may also be conducted to avoid serious complications.

Azel 160mg may cause seizures, so individuals with a history of seizures should use it with caution. Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice during treatment, as it can increase the drug's concentration in the body. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy due to the risk of harm to the unborn baby and its potential impact on fertility. Inform your doctor if you have any concerns about fertility before starting treatment. Both men and women are advised to use effective contraception during treatment and for at least three months after the final dose. Be sure to inform your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
