About

Zavicefta Injection is an antibiotic medicine used to treat severe bacterial infections of the lungs, stomach, and urinary tract. It may be used alone or in combination with other antibiotics, such as metronidazole, to treat infections in both children and adults.

Zavicefta is administered intravenously by a trained healthcare professional. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip doses, and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better, as stopping early may allow the infection to return or worsen.

Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rash, and infusion site phlebitis. These are usually mild, but consult your doctor if they persist or become bothersome. Diarrhea is a common side effect, and taking probiotics may help reduce it.

Before using Zavicefta, inform your doctor if you have allergies to antibiotics, or kidney or liver problems. Also, provide a list of all other medications you are taking, as drug interactions are possible. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.
