Zynesp 100mcg Injection

About 

Zynesp 100mcg injection contains Darbepoetin Alfa, an antineoplastic agent classified as a hematopoietic growth factor. It is prescribed to treat anemia (a condition marked by low red blood cell count) in individuals with chronic kidney disease. It is also used to manage anemia caused by chemotherapy in patients with certain types of cancer. Common symptoms of anemia include fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath.

Do not use Zynesp 100mcg injection if you are allergic to Darbepoetin Alfa or any of its components, or if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure. Inform your doctor if you have a history of high blood pressure, anemia, seizures or epilepsy, liver disease, latex allergy, or hepatitis C. Also, let your physician know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe headache, dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, vision problems, nausea, vomiting, or seizures after receiving Zynesp 100mcg injection. Common side effects may include high blood pressure, shortness of breath, leg swelling, and cough.

Safety measures

Alcohol- The safety of consuming alcohol during treatment with Zynesp 100mcg injection is not known. Inform your doctor if you regularly consume alcohol or have a history of chronic drinking.
Pregnancy- Breastfeeding is not recommended in patients taking Zynesp 100mcg injection because the medicine passes into the breast milk in small amounts and may harm your baby. 
Breastfeeding- Breastfeeding is not advised while taking Zynesp 100mcg injection, as the medication may pass into breast milk in small amounts and could potentially harm your baby.
Liver- Zynesp 100mcg injection is not considered safe for patients with liver disorders. Dose adjustments may be required. Inform your physician about any existing liver conditions before starting the treatment.
Lungs - It is unknown whether Zynesp 100mcg injection can be used in patients with lung disorders. Consult your doctor if you have any lung diseases before starting the treatment.
