About
ARBITEL TRIO 50 TAB is a comprehensive triple-combination medication designed for the effective management of essential hypertension. It contains Telmisartan 50mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB); Amlodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (CCB); and Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. Telmisartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor, leading to relaxation of blood vessels and a reduction in blood pressure. Amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing the workload on the heart.
Hydrochlorothiazide complements these actions by increasing the excretion of sodium and water from the body, which reduces blood volume and consequently lowers blood pressure. The synergistic effects of these three agents provide robust blood pressure control, particularly in patients whose hypertension is not adequately managed by monotherapy or dual therapy. This combination helps to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications associated with uncontrolled high blood pressure, such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage.
