About

Dapacose 10 (Dapagliflozin) 10 mg is a selective sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor indicated for improving glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Its primary mechanism involves blocking the SGLT2 protein in the renal tubules, which prevents the reabsorption of glucose and promotes its excretion in the urine, leading to a reduction in blood glucose levels. Beyond its antidiabetic effects, dapagliflozin has demonstrated remarkable benefits in cardiovascular and renal health. It is specifically indicated for reducing the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization for heart failure in adults with heart failure, and for reducing the risk of sustained eGFR decline, end-stage kidney disease, cardiovascular death, and hospitalization for heart failure in adults with chronic kidney disease, making it a multifaceted therapeutic agent.
