About

Dash 70mg Tablet contains Alendronate, a bisphosphonate medication primarily used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. It works by inhibiting osteoclast activity, which are the cells responsible for breaking down bone tissue. By slowing down bone resorption, Alendronate helps to maintain or increase bone mineral density, thereby reducing the risk of fractures, particularly in the spine and hip. This medication is crucial for postmenopausal women and men with osteoporosis, as well as for individuals with Paget's disease of bone or glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis. Proper administration is vital to ensure efficacy and minimize potential side effects, especially esophageal irritation. Adherence to the specific dosing instructions, including taking it with plenty of water and remaining upright, is paramount.
