About

Dytor 10mg Tablet contains Torsemide, a potent loop diuretic widely employed in the management of edema associated with various conditions such as congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, and renal disease, as well as for the treatment of essential hypertension. Torsemide exerts its action primarily on the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle within the kidney. Here, it inhibits the reabsorption of sodium and chloride ions, which are crucial for maintaining fluid balance. This inhibition leads to a substantial increase in the excretion of water, sodium, chloride, and potassium, effectively reducing overall fluid volume in the body and consequently lowering blood pressure. Its rapid onset of action and relatively prolonged duration of effect make it particularly effective for quickly alleviating symptoms of fluid overload, such as shortness of breath, peripheral swelling, and pulmonary congestion, thereby improving patient comfort and clinical outcomes.
