About

Ezapro 160mg Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It achieves this by irreversibly binding to and inhibiting the hydrogen-potassium adenosine triphosphatase (H+/K+-ATPase) enzyme system, commonly known as the proton pump, in the gastric parietal cells. This inhibition leads to a significant and prolonged decrease in gastric acid secretion, providing relief from acid-related conditions. It is commonly prescribed for the treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders where acid suppression is beneficial, offering a therapeutic approach to manage symptoms and promote healing of the esophageal lining and gastric ulcers. Its sustained action allows for once-daily dosing in many cases, contributing to patient compliance and effective symptom control.
