About

ITRAGREAT 100 CAP contains Itraconazole, a synthetic triazole antifungal agent, which is highly effective against a broad spectrum of fungal pathogens. Its mechanism of action involves the inhibition of cytochrome P450-dependent 14α-demethylation of lanosterol, a crucial step in the biosynthesis of ergosterol. Ergosterol is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, and its depletion leads to increased membrane permeability, leakage of cellular contents, and ultimately, fungal cell death. ITRAGREAT 100 CAP is particularly useful for treating various fungal infections, including dermatophytoses, candidiasis (oral, esophageal, vulvovaginal), and systemic mycoses such as aspergillosis, histoplasmosis, and blastomycosis. Its efficacy and versatility make it a valuable option for managing both superficial and deep-seated fungal diseases.
