About

Lentris 10mg Capsule contains Lenvatinib, an oral multi-kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of various cancers. It functions by selectively inhibiting the kinase activities of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptors VEGFR1, VEGFR2, and VEGFR3, in addition to fibroblast growth factor (FGF) receptors FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3, and FGFR4. It also targets other proangiogenic and oncogenic signaling pathways associated with platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRα), KIT, and RET proto-oncogene. This targeted action helps to reduce tumor growth and angiogenesis, which is the formation of new blood vessels that supply tumors.

This medication is a crucial component in the management of advanced or metastatic cancers where these pathways are implicated. Its mechanism of action targets multiple pathways involved in tumor proliferation and survival, making it an effective therapeutic option for patients who have progressed on other treatments or for whom standard therapies are not suitable. Regular monitoring for efficacy and side effects is essential throughout the treatment course to optimize patient outcomes.

Uses

  • Treatment of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) that is refractory to radioactive iodine.
  • Management of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
  • Used in combination with everolimus for advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) after one prior anti-angiogenic therapy.
  • Used in combination with pembrolizumab for advanced endometrial carcinoma that is not microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) or mismatch repair deficient (dMMR).
