About

Letoval 2.5mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor primarily used in the treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by potently and selectively inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, which is responsible for converting androgens into estrogens in peripheral tissues. By significantly reducing estrogen levels, Letoval deprives estrogen-dependent breast cancer cells of the growth stimulus they require, thereby slowing or stopping tumor progression. This oral medication is a crucial component of adjuvant therapy, extended adjuvant therapy, and first-line treatment for metastatic disease, offering a targeted approach to hormone-sensitive cancers.

Uses

  • Adjuvant treatment of early breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
  • Extended adjuvant treatment of early breast cancer.
  • First-line treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
  • Treatment of advanced breast cancer after antiestrogen therapy failure.
