About

Lupifil 300mcg Injection is a recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) analog, a glycoprotein that regulates the production and release of neutrophils from the bone marrow. It functions by binding to specific receptors on hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells, thereby stimulating their proliferation, differentiation, and maturation into functional neutrophils. Neutrophils are a critical component of the immune system, essential for fighting bacterial and fungal infections. This medication is primarily used to reduce the incidence, severity, and duration of neutropenia, a condition characterized by abnormally low neutrophil counts, often caused by myelosuppressive chemotherapy or other bone marrow disorders. By rapidly boosting neutrophil levels, Lupifil significantly helps to decrease the risk of serious and life-threatening infections in vulnerable patients, improving their ability to tolerate ongoing cancer treatments.

Uses

  • Prevention of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia.
  • Mobilization of peripheral blood stem cells for transplantation.
  • Treatment of severe chronic neutropenia.
