About
Oxaltero 50 mg Injection belongs to a class of medicines known as platinum-based antineoplastic agents. It contains the active ingredient Oxaliplatin and is prescribed for the treatment of stage 3 colon cancer after surgical removal of the primary tumor, as well as metastatic colon and rectal cancer. It is usually given in combination with other anticancer medicines. Colorectal cancer arises in the large intestine or rectum, often due to the accumulation of genetic mutations influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. Oxaltero 50 mg Injection is effective even against tumors that are resistant to cisplatin therapy.
Common side effects include a decrease in blood cell count, unpleasant throat sensations, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, heartburn, blood clots, blood in urine, high blood pressure, depression, insomnia, and low calcium levels. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist or cause significant discomfort.
Before starting treatment, let your doctor know if you are allergic to Oxaltero 50 mg Injection or any of its ingredients. Inform your physician if you have a history of kidney disease, liver problems, or heart disorders, and provide details of all other medicines or vaccinations you are taking.
