Reditux RA 500mg Injection contains rituximab as its active ingredient and is used to treat various medical conditions in adults. It may be given alone or with other medications to treat non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer of B-lymphocytes) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common type of B-cell cancer). It is also prescribed in combination with methotrexate for the treatment of moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the joints. Additional approved uses include treating granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis (conditions causing inflammation of blood vessels, primarily affecting the lungs and kidneys) in adults and children aged 2 years and older. Reditux RA is also used to manage moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune disorder that causes painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals.

Reditux RA 500mg Injection belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. You should not use this medication if you are allergic to rituximab or any of its components, have a weakened immune system, or are suffering from a serious active infection. Before beginning treatment, inform your doctor if you have any heart conditions, heart failure, or respiratory issues. Also, let your doctor know if you’ve ever had a hepatitis B infection, as the virus may reactivate during treatment, which can be serious. This medication is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Common side effects include blood infections, low red blood cell count, dizziness, facial and body swelling, itchy skin, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and abnormal blood pressure (either high or low). Women who can become pregnant should use reliable contraception during treatment and for 12 months after the final dose. Reditux RA 500mg Injection may cause serious infusion-related reactions during or within 24 hours of administration. Notify your doctor or healthcare provider immediately if you experience symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain, headache, difficulty breathing, vomiting, skin rash, or throat swelling.
