About

Enfiera 500mg Injection contains rituximab as its active ingredient. It is prescribed for various conditions in adults and, in some cases, children. It is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer of B-lymphocytes) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common type of B-cell cancer). Additionally, it is used with methotrexate to treat moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disorder that targets the joints. Enfiera is also indicated for treating granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis—types of blood vessel inflammation affecting organs such as the lungs and kidneys—in adults and children aged 2 years and older. It is further used in the treatment of moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune disease that causes painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes.

Enfiera 500mg belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. You should not receive this injection if you are allergic to rituximab or any of its ingredients, have a weakened immune system, or suffer from a serious active infection. Inform your doctor if you have any heart conditions, heart failure, or breathing issues before starting the treatment. It is also important to tell your physician if you have a history of hepatitis B, as this infection may reactivate and become serious. The use of this medication is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Common side effects include blood infections, low red blood cell counts, dizziness, facial and body swelling, itchy skin, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and fluctuations in blood pressure. Women who can become pregnant should use effective birth control during treatment and for at least 12 months after the final dose. Enfiera may cause severe infusion-related reactions either during the infusion or within 24 hours afterward. Report any signs of an infusion reaction—such as high blood pressure, chest pain, headache, difficulty breathing, vomiting, rash, or throat swelling—to your healthcare provider immediately.
