Maball 100mg Injection contains rituximab as its active ingredient and is prescribed for various medical conditions in adults. It is used alone or alongside other medications to treat non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer affecting B-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common form of B-cell cancer). Additionally, it is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in adults when used in combination with methotrexate. Other approved uses include granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis—conditions involving inflammation of blood vessels affecting mainly the lungs and kidneys—in adults and children aged 2 years and older. Maball is also used for moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune disorder that causes painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes.

Maball 100mg belongs to a class of medications known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. It should not be used if you are allergic to rituximab or any of its components, have a weakened immune system, or are suffering from a severe active infection. Inform your doctor if you have any history of heart conditions, heart failure, or respiratory issues before starting treatment. If you have had hepatitis B, it is important to notify your physician, as the virus can potentially reactivate and lead to serious complications. The use of this injection is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Common side effects may include blood infections, low red blood cell count, dizziness, facial and body swelling, skin itching, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and changes in blood pressure. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 12 months after the final dose. Maball 100mg may also cause severe infusion-related reactions either during or within 24 hours of administration. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain, headache, breathing difficulties, nausea, rashes, or swelling of the throat.
