About

Rituxem 100mg Injection contains rituximab as its active ingredient and is used to treat various medical conditions in adults. It can be administered alone or alongside other medications to manage non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a type of cancer that affects B-lymphocytes) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common form of B-cell cancer). Additionally, it is indicated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis in adults, in combination with methotrexate. Other approved uses include granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis—both inflammatory diseases affecting blood vessels, mainly in the lungs and kidneys—in adults and children aged 2 years and older. Rituxem is also used to treat moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune condition that causes painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals.

Rituxem 100mg Injection belongs to a class of medications known as anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to rituximab or any of its components, have a weakened immune system, or are suffering from a severe active infection. Inform your doctor if you have any history of heart disease, heart failure, or respiratory issues before starting treatment. Also, let your doctor know if you have ever had a hepatitis B infection, as this may reactivate during treatment and lead to serious complications. Use of this medication is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Common side effects of Rituxem 100mg Injection include blood infections, low red blood cell count, dizziness, facial and body swelling, itchy skin, diarrhea, excessive sweating, and fluctuations in blood pressure. Women who may become pregnant should use reliable contraception during treatment and for 12 months after the last dose. This medication may cause serious infusion-related reactions during or within 24 hours of administration. Seek medical attention immediately if you experience symptoms such as high blood pressure, chest pain, headache, difficulty breathing, vomiting, rash, or throat swelling.
