SARTEL H is a combination medication containing Telmisartan 40 mg (an angiotensin II receptor blocker) and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg (a thiazide diuretic). It is prescribed for the treatment of essential hypertension, particularly in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with either agent. Telmisartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation and a decrease in blood pressure.
