About

Xolnic 4mg contains zoledronic acid, a medication from the bisphosphonate class. It is used in adults to lower elevated calcium levels in the blood caused by tumors—a condition known as tumor-induced hypercalcemia (TIH). Tumors can disrupt normal bone turnover, leading to increased calcium release from bones. Xolnic 4mg is also prescribed to prevent bone-related complications in adults with multiple myeloma or bone metastases from solid tumors, alongside standard cancer treatments.

Additionally, Xolnic 4mg is indicated for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis—a condition that weakens bones and increases fracture risk—in postmenopausal women and men. It is also used to manage Paget’s disease of bone, where bones become soft, weak, and prone to deformities and fractures. Furthermore, it helps prevent or treat osteoporosis in patients of either sex who are on long-term glucocorticoid therapy, which can contribute to bone loss.

You should not receive this injection if you are allergic to zoledronic acid, other bisphosphonates, or any of the medicine’s components. It is also not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor before starting treatment if you have any history of kidney or liver disease, jaw problems (such as pain, swelling, or numbness), or other bone conditions. Xolnic 4mg is not a form of cancer chemotherapy and does not halt cancer progression, though it plays a key role in managing bone-related complications in cancer patients. This medication is not intended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
