About

Zoltero 4mg contains zoledronic acid, an active ingredient from the bisphosphonate class of drugs. It is used in adults to lower high levels of calcium in the blood caused by tumors, a condition known as tumor-induced hypercalcemia (TIH). Tumors can disrupt normal bone turnover, leading to increased calcium release from bones. Zoltero 4mg is also used to help prevent bone complications in adults with multiple myeloma or bone metastases from solid tumors, alongside standard cancer therapies.

In addition, Zoltero 4mg is prescribed to prevent or treat osteoporosis—a condition where bones become fragile and are more likely to fracture—in postmenopausal women and men. It is also used to treat Paget’s disease of bone, a disorder that results in soft, weak, and possibly deformed or painful bones. The medication is also effective in treating or preventing osteoporosis in men and women who are receiving glucocorticoid therapy, which can lead to bone loss.

This injection should not be used if you are allergic to zoledronic acid, other bisphosphonates, or any of the ingredients in the medicine. It is also not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, bone disorders, or symptoms such as jaw pain, swelling, or numbness. Zoltero 4mg is not a chemotherapy drug and does not stop cancer from spreading, but it is beneficial for managing bone-related conditions in cancer patients. It is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
