Eltromag 50mg Tablet is an anticoagulant medication classified as a thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist, containing the active ingredient Eltrombopag. It is primarily used to treat low platelet counts in individuals with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. ITP is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks and destroys platelets—blood cells essential for clotting and maintaining the integrity of blood vessels. Low platelet levels can lead to excessive bruising and serious bleeding. Eltromag is also used in adults to manage severe aplastic anaemia, a condition where the bone marrow fails to produce sufficient new blood cells.

This medicine is not suitable for individuals with known hypersensitivity to eltrombopag or any of its components. Allergic reactions may range from mild to severe and can present as rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
